Enrichment Programs for Homeschoolers

Welcome to

New for Fall 2024:

Legends

An interdisciplinary program for ages 13-15

Tuesdays, 9am-1pm | Grace Community Church

Legends is an immersive drop-off program designed for older students. This course integrates four key components – writing, history, geography, and art – to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Through engaging activities, discussions, and projects, students will delve into historical periods, explore geographical landscapes, express themselves through creative arts, and refine their writing skills.

  • Students will systematically learn formal writing skills through IEWs Structure and Style program, applying them to creative and informational writing assignments related to historical topics.

  • Students will engage with selected readings from Story of the World, Volume 4, providing a foundation for discussions and activities such as individual timelines.

  • Through map-making exercises, students will learn about geographical features, cultural landscapes, and historical territories.

  • Students will be introduced to the elements of art and how to use these elements to create beautiful works of their own. Art topics will hinge on significant historical events encountered in their history reading.

Artful Archives

A 30-week Structured, Educational Drop-Off Program for ages 5-12

Our passionate teachers will guide students through fine art, science, handicrafts, and games chosen to strengthen logic and character. With a Charlotte Mason meets Classical approach, all lessons will tie into a time frame in history taught through Story of the World. Throughout the year students will be adding narrations, maps, and their masterpieces to a beautifully bound portfolio that can serve as both your learning record and keepsake.

This program can be the springboard for the studies you do at home with your kids or you can utilize it as a stand alone enrichment day filled with fun projects and friends.

How much?

Both Artful Archives and Legends cost $800 per semester for the 4-hour, once per week program currently offered on Tuesday mornings, 9:00am - 1:00pm

This is billed as 4 equal payments of $200 monthly.

Quality Instruction provided by caring adults that lightens the homeschooling parent’s load.

“A report by Americans for the Arts states that young people who participate regularly in the arts (three hours a day on three days each week through one full year) are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, to participate in a math and science fair or to win an award for writing an essay or poem than children who do not participate,” says PBS.’ (Martin, 2014)
